Electronic Ordering Platform

The HI flagship is a Cloud-based Genetic Testing Submission Platform that enables clients the ability to electronically collect family history, preferred physician, patient, payment and consent information. Once a signature is electronically captured, a Requisition Form is sent to the treating physician for interpretation of medical necessity. When the physician orders the test, a test kit is automatically shipped. Finally, the lab runs the DNA sample and reports the results to the treating physician.

Test Kit Shipping & Processing

HI has supply chain partners that will overnight test kits to the physician office, pharmacy or patient home. Test kit shipments are monitored and pickups can be managed online.

Compliant Laboratory Testing

HI partners with several boutique CLIA-certified laboratories pledged to ensure compliance with all regulations (e.g., anti-kickback statute, EKRA, Stark Law, False Claims Act). Upon receipt of the buccal swab sample, HI labs offer the Whole Exome Sequencing on a variety of targeted panels: 138-Genes / 16 Cancers, Cardiac Disorders, and Parkinson’s/Dementia/Alzheimer’s Disease.

Patient Results Delivery

An API is written between HI and our laboratories to ensure patient result accuracy and expediency. Upon completion, the Treating Physician is provided with the DNA results (positive, negative, variant) via fax (with instructions to schedule a review with their patient) or electronically via lab Clinician Portal or via secure email.
